Highlights from a day out at Cupsogue with Tom Burke and Gail Benson
included:

Seawatch AM: 1 distant Sooty Shearwater and a pod of about 9 Dolphins
(probably Bottlenose). The conditions for seawatching, were just not right
with STRONG north west winds.

Flats: 1st Summer Arctic Tern, nicely picked out by Tom before we even
crossed the channels. Unfortunately, we never saw it again during our
duration on the flats.

2 Roseate Terns, down from the 4 seen last weekend.

Also of note were two banded Piping Plovers. One band with the letters,
"MOO."

Cheers,

風 Swift as the wind
林 Quiet as the forest
火 Conquer like the fire
山 Steady as the mountain
