The Wilson's Phalarope reported yesterday at the Shirley Marina in Suffolk was present this morning. The bird was there at around 6:30 AM, left for abut an hour and refound by Ken Feustel at about 7:30. It was feeding near the south end of the north impoundment.
The park is on the west side of William Floyd Parkway. The entrance is just before the bridge to Smiths Point. One local birder told me that there is a charge for boaters using the ramp but no entry fee. Park along the right fork away from the boating area.
