Just a few minutes ago (730 am) an American Avocet in breeding plumage was at the water's edge of the swimming beach at Croton Point Park. Beautiful light. A great find by Chris Letts too bad neither of us had cameras. Certainly a first for me in Westchester County. Good luck if you go.
