A couple of important deadlines are fast approaching for this fall’s NYSOA Annual Meeting / NYS Birders Conference, which will be held in Ithaca September 19-21, 2014: CONFERENCE REGISTRATION DISCOUNT is available only through August 15. RAMADA DISCOUNTED ROOM RATE is available only through August 19. This year’s conference promises to be a very exciting event, chock full of great birding and educational activities, along with opportunities to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Highlights include a Friday evening reception at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Saturday morning field trips with local experts, a scientific paper session, and a banquet on Saturday featuring keynote speaker Dr. Bridget Stutchbury, who will let us in on the results of her New Discoveries in Bird Migration.
