I led the first of a five-week series of walks in Bryant Park this morning (they are free, drop-in walks, every Thursday morning from 8-9am). In spite of the driving rain, we saw a few nice migrants: Swainson's Thrush (1)Numerous Gray Catbirds, at least 20.Ovenbirds (4 or more)Northern Waterthrush (1)Common Yellowthroats (many)Swamp Sparrow (1, FOS for me)White-throated Sparrow (1, FOS for me) I'm sure many more species would have been present or more visible if the weather was better...
