Another year birding the vacant grounds of Van Cortlandt Park pre-Thanksgiving 
dinner.  Morning snow hampered things somewhat.  Lots of Canada Geese but 
nothing special.  When snow lifted I followed along the southeast corner a 
large (over 100) flock of Horned Larks and a much smaller (a dozen) flock of 
American Pipits until a Peregrine scared them both off.  Then nearly tumbled 
over a beautifully camouflaged lone Snow Bunting (a first for me at VCP).
