Hello birders,
This weekend I will be leading the Buffalo Ornithological Society Lake Ontario Plain field trip to eastern Niagara and western Orleans Counties. PLEASE NOTE: The originally scheduled date for this trip, Saturday, March 28th, has been changed to Sunday, March 29th. Meeting time and place: Meet at 8 AM at Tops Market in Wright's Corners. This is on the east side of Rt 78 at Rt 104, north of Lockport. The trip generally goes until 2:30 or later. There are no convenient places to buy lunch so you will probably want to bring one. This is a popular trip that focuses on birds on Lake Ontario, geese and ducks in the fields, and migrating raptors. Bring binoculars, of course, and a spotting scope if you have one but if you don't, not to worry. Everyone is great about sharing. Hope to see you on Sunday! Good birding!
