On Thursday, I spent from ~ 1015 to 1330 getting some good exercise, but not many birds, at the North Fork Preserve, Jamesport. There were at least 3 Turkey Vultures, with the possibility of that # swelling up to 6, unless "Lonesome George" was responsible for #'s 3 to 6. The only other bird of interest was an E. Phoebe.
After a stop at home for lunch, I proceeded down to Dune Road (Post Lane to Shinnicock Inlet) and saw the following species: FOS Great Cormorant ; FOS Black-crowned Night-Heron; FOS Greater Yellowlegs (5-6) ; FOS Boat-tailed Grackle( (4) no females) all singing.
