4/17/15 Long Lake (Hamilton Co.) * First-of-the-season
Bufflehead - on the Little Tupper Lake outlet (they have been moving through for nearly a week now) Ruffed Grouse - 2 along Sabattis Circle Road (one drumming) Common Loon - one on Long Lake Great Blue Heron - at the small (yearly) rookery on Minnow Pond along Route 30 in Long Lake. The bird was sitting up in the nest in foggy conditions with Minnow Pond below - still totally frozen!
