Re: the Savannah Sparrow I observed at Smith Point County Park, Mastic, Suffolk Co. yesterday (4/22/15), the only.points I can make with certainty, are as follows:
1) The superilium was very bright yellow, and extended back close to length of head. It was the brightest I have ever seen on this specie. 2) In flight, it's pale outer tail feathers were very evident. 3) I do not know the origin of this individual.
