Worked the overnight shift last night and noticed classic radar blossoms develop after sunset. Of course they were much smaller than peak migration but the doppler winds did show a northwesterly to north component. The radar echoes were biological in nature so I imagine they were birds already heading south. The echoes were prevalent on other radars where the winds were north too. First shorebirds at Knox-Marcellus marsh tomorrow??? '
