Highlights: Ruby-throated Hummingbird (4 at 3 locations) Downy Woodpecker (juvenile) Olive-sided Flycatcher (in a large tree with many dead branches at Azalea Pond - thanks to Pat Pollock) Empidonax Flycatcher (adult at Maintenance Field) Warbling Vireo Red-eyed Vireo Black-capped Chickadee Blue-gray Gnatcatcher Northern Waterthrush Black-and-white Warbler American Redsstart Blue-winged Warbler Common Yellowthroat Magnolia Warbler Chestnut-sided Warbler Black-throated Green Warbler (Laupot Bridge thanks to Janet Wooten) Canada Warbler Wilson's Warbler (Warbler Rock) Song Sparrow Baltimore Oriole - all hatch-year birds Also a Red-banded Hairstreak near the Boathouse and a Monarch in Shakespeare Garden. One week ago a fresh Great Spangled Fritillary at the Maintenance Meadow.
