I have had a colony on my dock for 10 years. This year unprecedented numbers are coming from Connecticut where they have a banding program and using my colony for a staging area to go to their roost. I and some involved in PM research are wondering where this roost site is. Have anyone on the list have seen thousands of them around dusk, possibly in the north fork in the last two weeks. The Purple Martin Association lists north of Riverhead on the sound around Jacobs point, as a possible roost site, but not confirmed. You can answer me off the list if you have confirmation.
