Alley Pond Park 11Sept After the rain and, hopefully, an anticipating change in bird movements, Joe Giunta and I (Sy Schiff) spent this morning looking for warblers and found a disappointing total of 3, one each Blackpoll, Redstart and Black-and-white. Migrants were also absent. Nice walk ad good company as always.
A number of the better birding side trails in the park are now fenced off with plantings in the middle of the paths (of obliterate them).. The notice says this is to eliminate confusing paths for visitors. Of course, better trail markings on existing paths might help.
