I spent last Sunday September 13 birding in Pelham bay, and was joined in the morning by Nikhil Patwardhan. There was one *Clay-colored sparrow* (photo to document here : https://flic.kr/s/aHskkkoVB5) at the West-most corner of the landfill fence during late afternoon ; this is a small but good place for sparrows. Pale buffy lores without eyeline, pale supercilium becoming buffy close to the beak, white malar area well defined with clear black malar strip, pale whitish underpart with buffy breast.
