Clay-colored Sparrow still at this location today. Between lunch and after work visits, I’ve been able to find it on four straight trips. It will take five, at least, to get a good picture. Cooperation only goes so far. Also a Lincoln’s Sparrow there today.
Since I know someone that will ask, butterflies were limited to Cabbage Whites and an Orange Sulphur that seems to have escaped a Phoebe foray. But this one is away from the barrier beach, so a bit different. It was seen a little while ago in the field across from Oakland Lake, part of the Alley Pond Park chain. At least at the time, it wasn’t associating with the many Chipping or Savannah or any other sparrows.
