The NYSDEC is seeking experienced birders to participate in volunteer winter raptor monitoring. The surveys will be conducted at the Shawangunk Grasslands NWR and surrounding areas, the Wallkill River NWR and surrounding areas, and potentially other sites in northern Dutchess and western Westchester Counties. Surveys will take place around dusk, lasting 1 hour and will be performed twice per month from December to March. If interested please contact us via the email address below. Thank you.
