A Thick-billed Murre flew west to east past Ditch Plains Beach, along the oceanfront just east of Montauk Village, this morning.
In addition to the others reported recently on this listserv, the NYRBA mentioned one dead on the shore of eastern Long Island Sound, at Southold, last Monday; on that same day, we had saw one from the Block Island Ferry during our Presidents Day Count. It appears that an incursion might be underway, and that it would be worth checking the coast carefully for additional records.
