Joe Giunta and I (Sy Schiff) traveled into Brooklyn after visiting Jones Beach to look for the European Wigeon and again had a miss for the day, But the Salt Marsh Preserve is a lovely place to visit with a mix of puddle and diving ducks and extensive grass lands. So, we took advantage of the beautiful setting and and a pleasant walk.
