I purchased my Kowa scope and Manfrotto tripod many years ago from CMBO. While they did not have the lowest price, they did allow you to actually try out the scopes, and they were more knowledgeable than B&H regarding scopes for BIRDING. You are also supporting a great organization by purchasing from NJ Audubon. It is worth the trip, since you can always incorporate a wonderful day of birding down at Cape May Point and places along the way.
(Almost 20 years later, I am still very happy with my Kowa, and my tripod, although a little beat up, is still perfectly functioning.) CMBO was actually very competitive with pricing, but if you find the price to be much better at B&H (you may or may not), and you wish to, you can simply order online at B&H once you know which model you want. Of course please support NJ Audubon by purchasing something else, or at least becoming a member!
