I just watched 3 Sandhill Cranes flying SW over Yonkers in the area between
I-87 and the Saw Mill River Parkway. Before I lifted up my binos I
initially thought they were swans or a Great Blue Heron based on size but
when I saw them through the binoculars their extended neck,  longer and
more slender shape instantly ruled out any swan or heron species. Might not
be a bad idea to check Van Cortlandt Park...
