Sad news for those who knew Mike Peterson. This is all the information I have at this time.
Mike started the very productive and popular banding station at Crown Point State Park many years ago. It is still running and open to visitors. He has also been Regional Editor for Kingbird, the publication of NYS Ornithological Association for many many years as well and co-author of Birds of the Adirondacks. I, or others, will share more information as it becomes available. Located just off the SW corner of the English fort at the Crown Point Historic Site, we welcome one and all to visit. In a sad note, the founder of the banding station, Mike Peterson, died yesterday in Montreal, Canada.
