A great many of our friends in the New York birding community knew Holly
Wilson, our beloved niece, frequent birding companion, and vibrant young
woman. We lost our Holly on Tuesday, to suicide.
We so appreciate the kind thoughts and feelings many of you have shared
with us, helping us through our fog of grief. It means more than you
could ever know.
Some have asked for details about the wake. We will be celebrating
Holly's life this coming Sunday, 12 November, at 2:00-6:00 pm, at the
Overton Funeral Home (172 Main Street Islip, NY 11751; 631-581-5085).
According to her wishes, she will be cremated, and her ashes will be
spread at a favorite birding location in East Hampton at a later date.
