I'm glad to hear they are finally making those former dumps into a park. I just hope they don't develop them to much as they are excellent for birds as they are now. I worked on both of the landfills for a year in '06 and '07 doing bird surveys and hazing of geese and gulls and know first hand what great birds can be found there. In only a year I had 183 species of birds on the fills and surrounding waters including some great rarities. If anyone is interested I have a complete list of all the animals I inventoried there.
