A careful walk in the park at around 5:00 this afternoon revealed a single Tundra Swan in the cove off the brick-strewn beach adjacent to the grassy area to the south of the main parking lot. A return to the busy area at around 6:00 got us there just in time to see it take off and fly upriver and out of sight. A first for us in Westchester. --Joe Wallace and Sharon AvRutick
