An adult Baird’s Sandpiper was the highlight from my morning birding along the beach at Breezy Point, Queens. It was about a 15 minute walk east along the beach from the fishing parking lot, on wet sand generally near 4 Sanderlings. Sorry for the delayed report and lack of precise location, my phone died right after I got a few photos.
I was just made aware that evidently this far east along Breezy Point beach is private property, so beware... Also had a Royal Tern moving east along the beach and a Bobolink circling over the parking lot when I first arrived.
