I’ll add that just a bit before sunset, the bird made another appearance in the mid right hand side of that buckthorn bush (viewing from trail looking north), pretty much exactly where it appeared briefly before, but this time giving stellar views for me and one other observer for about 10 minutes, eating a few berries, and not even flushing when a barking off-leash dog ran right past! Seems early morning and last thing in the day may be the best bet to view this bird, assuming it continues...
