Wednesday, Sept. 21 - Randall’s Island, New York County Congratulations to J. Suzuki on the discovery of a county-first Buff-breasted Sandpiper, which after having been found was also happily willing to stay around, so that not only all participants to a scheduled non-profit Linnaean Society of New York bird-walk could view the bird, but additionally any who came later in the day - and some dozens more birders did so - also were able to see the mostly-confiding rarity. This Buff-breasted remained in the same area all day, and into dusk, post-sunset.
