Hi all, A bird some will be interested to hear about is a sedge wren which is being fairly cooperative in the upper reaches of the saltmarsh at Crab Meadow Beach, Northport, Suffolk Co.
The specific location can be accessed at the cut in the berm, at end of the entry road (bearing right at the toll booth rather than entering the large parking lot), though I would still recommend you still park in the lot. See: (40.9277007, -73.3259159) The bird is foraging low in Iva frutescens and called a handful of times. Good luck if you try. The park has no fee today as best I can tell.
