Hello and Happy New Year to you all (when are you supposed to stop
saying that anyway?)

I'm having a fun time with getting a couple of pages removed from a
site which google has cached. Essentially they were uploaded doc files
which somehow google indexed (even though no perms etc to list
directory), and have since been deleted, however the 'View HTML'
version still exists...

I've submitted a removal request via Webmaster Tools for the page and
the cached version, however they are talking about '3-5 working days'
to remove the files which is a bit too long for my liking. Has anyone
found a way to expedite this? I've phoned them in US however just get
'we aren't responsible for others content - please contact webmaster',
which is a bit slack, as they are responsible for their content!

Cheers,
Steve
