I think this is a matter of arrangement/agreement. Contractor by definition decides how, when, and what tools used to do their job (check IRD website for this). That's why we have what we call 'Service Agreement'. And in it the two parties would agree on things like for example in your case you should have: the supplier will not be reinstalling machine during a weekday and must be able to bill out hours on every Friday between 9am-5pm. > - get stuff done and let me know what I need to do to get them done > - only tell me its finished when it is finished.
