After posting this request a couple of weeks ago with a geographical
requirement (i.e. must work in Dunedin) I'm reposting without that
requirement. Please have a read below and if it's you I'm describing
then get in touch.
Turboweb Ltd is looking to surround ourselves with a range of talented
developers
who can cut the mustard and understand the importance of delivery on
agreed timeframes. We need a contract web developer who can start
immediately for an initial three month period in order to assist with
delivery of eCommerce websites.
The successful candidate must:
- have a strong understanding of PHP
- be able to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed
team, communicating by phone and/or Skype or an IM client
- have good time management skills, the ability to accurately
report on progress and be able to work to agreed delivery dates
- have experience with importing and exporting data programatically
between different systems (having worked with an API from any open
source project would be an advantage)
You will be able to supply:
- an overview of your involvement with some projects you have
worked on
- some code you have written with an explanation of what it was for
and why you did it how you did (we appreciate this is not always
possible)
- references from previous employers or clients (please no mates,
just happy clients)
This position does not require graphic design skills, however you will
be required to work with the output of our web designers to ensure the
design works as intended on the websites, therefore HTML & CSS
skills would be a bonus. You may be asked to complete a test as part
of this process in order to
help us understand your approach to requirements collection and problem
solving.
