Oops, didn't mean to direct that to you Cliff. It was just cheeky a
comment on a thread where people mention their allegiance to their
IDEs hehe

My own results?

>>> 1a) What is your currently preferred PHP IDE?

Eclipse PDT (Galileo)

>>> 1b) What are the pros and cons of it?

Pros:
- Syntax coloring and highlighting
- Code completion for all classes and functions (not just built-in ones)
- Code validation (for html, xhtml, js, css, php, yml)
- Very nice SVN plugin
- Multi platforms
- Free and open source
- Support many programming languages (I actually started using Eclipse
back when I was doing J2EE/Java development)
- Very very nice search functionality: smart search, Eclipse Galileo
has much improved search results view
- Lots and lots of plugins
- The potential of eclipse visual editor plugin
- Debugging integration
- Database integration

Cons:
- Nothing I can think of feature wise
- Eat a bit more memory than other IDEs

>>> 2) What other PHP IDE's have you had experience with?

- Netbeans
- nano
- Notepad
- PHPEditor
- Gedit
- Bluefish
- Zend Studio
- Zend Neon

Sid
