Hehe, gee thanks Berend Yes, It was the subdomain thing, I needed to uncomment Rewrite Base / in the Htaccess. My "wrong" hosting provider did have mod rewrite.
I did a little dance when it worked ;-) Thanks heaps for the php page though.
