Hi peeps,

Sorry to add to the recruitment-spam with my first post, but I just wanted
to put our new company under the noses of you all.

BuzzDial is a new social platform startup that allows anyone to react to
live events as they are happening (buzzdial.com). Right now we've launched
an MVP that provides a pretty basic experience, but we've got big ideas and
big plans for our global ambitions.

The three founders have a pretty solid reputation in the online space. You
can read a write-up about us at

- 'digital dons' ugh...

So the site itself is currently pretty simple, but the most exciting thing
is that we are getting to build this platform from the ground up with a
clean sheet of paper, no legacy, no cruft, just beautiful, elegant work.
Our current dev has been contracting, but isn't able to take on a full-time
gig due to the fact that he's not based in Auckland anymore.

We've got all our funding sorted (from some high regarded sources) and
we've got the rest of the team locked in. In fact, you'll can see most of
the crew here

who were picking up the Gold at the Design Best Awards for their work on
TVNZ's OnDemand Mobile App Suite. There aren't any back-end developers in
the photo, and that's the hole we are looking for people to fill.

>From a technology stack POV we are running on AWS instances, with Apache,
PHP and MySQL, and some Angular on the front. We've also got iOS and
Android apps under way that integrate with the platform API. Due to the
large amount of data we'll be collecting as well as the social network
aspects at play, there will be some pretty interesting and fascinating
things to nut out and implement as we grow.

Anyway, I hope that's enough of a ramble to pique the interest of some of
the people here. If anyone is interested in hearing more about what we are
up to over a beer or coffee feel free to shoot me an email
([email protected]).

Cheers,

Ross
