Oak still advertises MongoDB 2.6 in its startup check and tests, although the supported Java drivers require newer servers. This change raises Oak's common minimum to 4.0, preserving MongoDB 4.0 with drivers 5.2–5.4; driver 5.5 independently enforces its 4.2 minimum. The version tests now run without MongoDB. The documentation explains the driver-specific limits, recommends MongoDB 8.0 for Oak 2.10.0, and notes that 6.0 and earlier are end of life. The unused parent `mongo.version=3.6` property is removed; the Docker image override remains available. Driver versions and OSGi import ranges are unchanged. Validation: - The new regression test fails against the original check because it accepts MongoDB 3.6. - Real MongoDB 4.0.28 with driver 5.4.0: 13 smoke tests passed, none skipped. - Real MongoDB 4.2.24 with driver 5.5.2 (test override): 13 smoke tests passed, none skipped. - Full `oak-store-document` verification on MongoDB 8.0.32: 2,208 tests, zero failures/errors, 118 skipped; bundle baseline and license checks passed (isolated source copy to avoid local compiler interference). - Changed version-check method: 100% line and branch coverage. Jira: [OAK-12481](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-12481). Related driver upgrade: [OAK-12478](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-12478), #3233. Neither PR blocks the other.
