The discovery effort is stuck pending release of other underlying specs (LRDD,
XRD, etc.). You can see the new direction it is likely to take here:

http://www.hueniverse.com/hueniverse/2009/03/xrdbased-oauth-discovery-sneakpeek.html

But since the core protocol itself at this point isn't designed for real
interop, discovery only adds marginal value. Hopefully the IETF work to turn
OAuth into a standard will address this and bring more value to discovery.

Subject: [oauth] OAuth Discovery

Dear all,

At http://oauth.net/discovery/ I read that an updated version of OAuth
Discovery is expected by the end of March 2009. As we are now in August '09, I
was kindly wondering if anybody could shed some light on this?

I'm rather new to OAuth but my assumption is that OAuth Discovery would work
more or less as LAP's ID-WSF for discovery of a user's services. Comments?

Cheers,

Jonas H.
