Hello Dick! I think this is a good addition but I would think it should be optional. All OAuth servers support 2.0 and having this additional metadata field seems useful only if either 2.0 and 2.1 are supported or only 2.1. It would be quite an effort with little value to add this field to existing servers if 2.0 is the only supported protocol.
