Phil is getting better. He remains in the hospital in the Trauma Unit but has made leaps and bounds since last Tuesday night. He has regained consciousness but is still a bit dazed and confused and spends most of his time sleeping. His broken femur has been pinned back together and will apparently be stronger than ever, although he won't be able to bear full weight on that leg for about 3 months. Through all this the cycling community and our customers at the store have been incredibly supportive. The number of concerned phone calls, emails, and offers to help have been overwhelming. This has meant a lot to Phil's family, his girlfriend, and those of us who are close to him. When Phil can fully understand the outpouring of support I am sure he will be truly touched. I also want to say how incredible the staff at the Civic hospital ICU have been. Their compassion and professionalism have made a difficult time easier. Please ride safely!
