Meet: P.L.#12 (McCloskey) Old Chelsea, straight on Meech Lake Road, past Camp Fortune ski hill and turnoff on left, follow road to lake and follow lake road a few km to P.L.#12 on left. Give yourselves lots to time to get there so as not to be late. Time: 10 AM Suggested route: Trails 40 all the way up, right on 24, left on 1, right on 2 to Western Hut. More ambition ones can extend this and go to Champlain Lookout on trail 1B. Return from Western Hut via trail 9, left on 1, right on 2, back onto 40 to parking lot. We could also take trail 33 and 21, back onto 2 and 40 as an alternate. Bring food and drink. Poles are helpful to get that full body workout. Again, there may be boggy bits, so wear appropriate footwear.
