UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD): call for proposals
In March, UNESCO launched the 2010 call for proposals in the framework of the International Fund for Cultural Diversity foreseen by 2005 “Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions”. The purpose of the fund is to promote sustainable development and poverty reduction in countries parties to the Convention through support to projects and activities aimed at fostering the emergence of a dynamic cultural sector. Funds will be granted to projects and programs designed to enable the emergence of cultural industries or protect cultural expressions at risk of extinction. The deadline for applications is June 30, 2010.
