Журнал POSTBOX поддерживает коммуникацию между художниками, писателями, музыкантами, архитекторами, а также социологами, историками, экономистами и другими. http://plic.oberliht.com/ http://www.rhiz.eu/artefact-52358-en.html EN - - - - - INTERVENTIONS3 / CHIOSC / POSTBOX presentation by Vladimir US Oberliht Association: http://oberliht.com http://facebook.com/oberliht The INTERVENTIONS3 (curators: Vladimir US, Natasa BODROZIC), artistic project dealing with public space took place in the city of Chisinau and its surroundings throughout August last year, thus anticipating the CHIOSC project. It gathered more than thirty participants from Moldova, Romania, Croatia, Germany and France who stayed in the city for a short term residency creating art works and reflecting over the processes producing Chisinau’s public space today, the city's visual structure, the hiddent histories and experience of its inhabitants' everyday life. Their stay and the results of the project is documented in the catalogue, in two different issues of STATE of EMERGENCY magazine / Oberliht Supplement and a in the film that is going to be shown on this occasion. The project consisted of several phases: city walks, artists’ projects, public presentations and discussions, Ghidighici GRAFFITI session and opening to the public of ARThotel – a space for artistic production and exchange. The screening will serve as a platform for presentation of the CHIOSC project (kiosk) where Belorussian artists are invited to participate. http://oberliht.org.md/interventii3.html The CHIOSC project aims to establish the premises for collaboration in Europe and worldwide, taking the social, cultural and historical but also political and economic character of Republic of Moldova as a starting point. Conceptually, the project CHIOSC represents a place free of institutional control aiming to provide a platform to a wide range of renown but also marginalized initiatives from the local level and from the region, searching to interact with different publics and to offer visibility to artists, curators and cultural workers operating within the public domain. The CHIOŞC project, a cultural info-point and a public platform for participation is being launched in the city of Chisinau. It has been conceived in a complex social and political context that marks the period of transition, with the intention to promote contemporary art and youth culture in public space by contaminating the urban territory with relevant information. It is meant to encourage active participation of diverse social groups representing often marginalized or less visible domains by putting at their disposal a public platform for manifestation, to strengthen local and develop regional and international network of cultural operators and professionals, to influence the existing public policies and local authorities to extend the access to public space and allow it’s less restricted usage. This project intends to present the diversity and richness of various art practices carried out in different parts of European continent, thus one of its objectives is to invite artists, theorists, cultural workers to participate in CHIOŞC’s activities with exhibitions, workshops, screenings, talks etc. The FLAT SPACE/APARTAMENT DESCHIS project is a functional replica of a socialist apartment designed by Stefan RUSU commissioned to represent the identity of CHIOSC project. The point of departure for the design of the FLAT SPACE/APARTAMENT DESCHIS project was to publically display the private space of a flat limited by the standards of the socialist society, which still is a strong visual element within the contemporary urban and social landscape of East European countries. The transparency and the openness of the flat give the exposure to an architectural model extracted from the flat building that is composed from few basic elements characteristic to societies in transitions: the main façade with a balcony covered with plastic windows, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. The balcony is a key element, which will function as a cultural info point and will distribute information with cultural content. The rest of the space that is exposed to the public will bear a multifunctional character and will serve as an open platform for public presentations and cultural events. http://chiosc.oberliht.com http://www.rhiz.eu/artefact-13485-en.html http://www.rhiz.eu/artefact-49172-en.html Starting with November 2009 Oberliht Association has initiated a new publication called POSTBOX magazine: http://plic.oberliht.com http://www.rhiz.eu/artefact-52358-en.html The POSTBOX magazine is a new interdisciplinary and experimental publication that aims to reflect the young artists’ and writers’ work and activity. It is founded on the principle of sharing of valuable knowledge and experiences so much needed today for formation of a critical discourse inside of a corrupted system in expansion. The POSTBOX magazine encourages communication between artists, writers, musicians, architects etc. but also sociologists, historians, economists and other various groups, emphasizing the important role that art & culture, as ‘active ingredient’, has in a multicultural society in a globalized world. _______________________________________________ oberlist mailing list oberlist@idash.org http://idash.org/mailman/listinfo/oberlist
