In the case of public art, production and reception overlap in a special
manner. What does the production of art and the way it is dealt with under
these specific conditions mean to those creating it and those viewing it? How
can the way the public sphere has been subdivided up until now, along with the
corresponding divisions between the visible and the invisible, the feasible and
the unfeasible be suspended by artistic interventions? In this project,
artists, theorists, curators and decision-makers explore the parameters,
possible now and in the future, of aesthetic interruptions and the leeway for
activity in post-socialist countries.
