Sorry, I have now done some more reading about GIT and understand better how this works. (It might be worth putting a note in the wiki for GIT virgins, such as myself.) I misunderstood that the URL given was a web link to the files. It is in fact a GIT repository path. So, to obtain the code you must type: git clone http://git.obm.org/roundcube obm-rc cd obm-rc/plugins/obm_addressbook This checks-out a local copy of the code, which you can then play with. Now I have my hands on it I will test and report back.
