Bank Lippo 1Q Net Profit Rises 59.19%

StockWatch (Jakarta) - PT Bank Lippo Tbk (LPBN) recorded net profit of
IDR165.058 billion (IDR42.15 per share) in the first quarter of 2007, rising by
59.19% from IDR103.684 billion (IDR26.48 per share) in the same period of 2006.
Bank Lippo management said in the company's financial report today (25/4) in
Jakarta, the net profit rose sharply after increase in net interest income by
26.38% from IDR374.590 billion to IDR473.416 billion.
At the same time, fee based income climbed up at IDR294.574 billion from
IDR102.270 billion, which boosted the operating profit by 63% at IDR243.362
billion from IDR149.313 billion.
Meanwhile, the CAR stepped up at 29.30% from 23.57% whereas the nett NPL was
down at 0.72% versus 1.32% and the assets increased 21.9% at IDR33.102 trillion
from IDR27.155 trillion. (yan/bud)
