PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) is
going to propose agenda of issuing non preemptive rights during
an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on January 7 2009.
A source said the EGM is an
entrance gate for China Investment Corporation (CIC) to buy 5% of BUMI
shares. The biggest coal miner is in talks with some parties regarding
to the issue of the rights. According to Bapepam's regulation, a
maximum of 5% of shares can be placed during the non preemptive
rights. Now, the regulation is underway to be revised to maximum 10% of
shares.
