Kalbe Farma 2006 Net Profit Rises 8.06%

StockWatch (Jakarta) - Pharmaceutical company PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) booked
net profit of IDR676.582 billion (IDR67 per share) in 2006, rising slightly by
8.06% from IDR626.117 billion (IDR62 per share) in 2005.
The net profit rose slightly after the sales increased by approximately 3.42%
from IDR5.871 trillion to IDR6.072 trillion, while the gross profit increased
4.59% at IDR3.099 trillion from IDR2.963 trillion although the cost of goods
sold (COGS) rose from IDR2.908 trillion to IDR2.973 trillion.
Besides, the operating profit also climbed up 1.04% at IDR1.071 trillion versus
IDR1.060 trillion eventhough the operating expense climbed up from IDR1.903
trililion at IDR2.027 trillion. (abr/bud)
