Nickel Rises on London Metal Exchange, Erasing Earlier Losses By Brett Foley May 11 (Bloomberg) -- Nickel rose on the London Metal Exchange, erasing earlier losses. Nickel for delivery in three months gained $300, or 0.6 percent, to $50,300 a metric ton as of 1:22 p.m. local time. Earlier, it fell as much as $550, or 1.1 percent, to $49,490. Copper pared losses, dropping $35 to $7,855 a ton after falling as much as $155, or 2 percent, to $7,735. Lead climbed, erasing earlier declines, increasing $25, or 1.2 percent, to $2,070 a ton.
