PRESS RELEASE: Fitch: Asian Palm Oil Credit Profiles to Remain Sound in 2010
(09 Feb, 2010)

The following is a press release from Fitch Ratings:

Fitch Ratings-Singapore/Jakarta-09 February 2010: Fitch Ratings has today
said in a just published Special Report that it expects the Asian palm oil
producers it rates to maintain sound credit profiles in 2010.

Positive factors for the sector include stable crude palm oil (CPO) prices,
due to balanced supply/demand dynamics and declining cost pressures from lower
fertiliser costs (since H209). These factors should result in robust
profitability and operating cash flow generation for palm oil producers in
2010. The agency notes that palm oil producers that have favourable plantation
maturity profiles and well-managed plantation operations will be the main
beneficiaries.....................................................................
