Neither will "LPT1" be allowed. CON & LPT1 is operating system keywords. CON = Console, LPT1 = Printer. With Command prompt (start-->all programs-->accessories-->command prompt), you are allowed to write something like this: copy text.txt con: ---> this will print text.txt into console. copy text.txt lpt1: ---> this will print text.txt to your printer. > MAGIC #2 > > For those of you using Windows, do the following: > > 1.) The typed text is opened as unicode text (mandarin in mine). Definitely a notepad bug (or bush and microsoft team up to prevent any cursing of g.w. bush :-). Type and open with other text editor don't have the same problem. --- In obrolan-bandar@yahoogroups.com, "w | i | d | h | i | e" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Does anyone know the explanation ... ? esp #2 : (( > > MAGIC #1 > > An Indian discovered that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the > Computer which can be named as "CON".
